Since 1965 the Houston Group Psychotherapy Society has served as the professional voice for the multidisciplinary mental health community trained in the practice of group psychotherapy.

While adhering to the highest standards of excellence, HGPS offers unique opportunities for educational growth and for expanding knowledge of the many facets of group psychology from fundamental group concepts to advanced practice skills.

Fill in your information, reserve your workshops, select your fee schedule based on whether you are a Member, Non-Member, Student Member, Student Non-Member, or a group of 3+ from an Agency. After your information, select the "Make my reservation" button. You will be taken to PayPal to accept your payment. PayPal is a safe, trusted process service (a division of eBay). 2010 Institute Scholarships

HGPS offers the following scholarships for the annual Institute. 

• Dr. Marian Yeager Enete Scholarship  is offered to a mental health professional currently working in a mental health setting, who is interested in obtaining training in the basic principles of group psychotherapy, and in need of financial aid. 

• Beverly Gross Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding Interim or Student HGPS member.

• Member Donation Scholarship is awarded to a member with financial need.

• First Time Attendees Scholarships is a new category in which Houston Group Psychotherapy Society is pleased to offer 10 scholarships for first time Institute attendees working with groups in mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, trauma, or related field who either personally or whose agency do not have resources to cover the Institute.  An awardee will attend the two day Institute for hard cost (meals and materials) of $35.00.
